Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All patients arriving to the Emergency department of Kasturba Hospital with clinical suspicion of sepsis. qSOFA score to be used for screening and patients having score more than equal to 2 can be Included in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: o All patients less than 18 years of age o All patients not consenting for the study

MeasureTime frame
The results of the tests of Procalcitonin, neutrophil- lymphocyte ratio, C-Reactive Protein and Lactate dehydrogenase can be obtained within 1 h, which may significantly shorten the time of decision-making â?¢ After analysis of the data, we can compare the results of the individual versus combined biomarker efficacy above tests, either singly or in combination Linear regression curve to be plotted for the continuous variables in both culture negative and positive groups. ROC curves plotted and to establish which composite biomarkers have highest predictive capacity in pointing towards possible sepsis. Timepoint: The results of the tests of Procalcitonin, neutrophil- lymphocyte ratio, C-Reactive Protein and Lactate dehydrogenase can be obtained within 1 h, which may significantly shorten the time of decision-making â?¢ After analysis of the data, we can compare the results of the individual versus combined biomarker efficacy
