Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.30-60 years of age 2.Give informed consent. 3.Patient with moderate to severe periodontitis with probing pocket depth >= 5mm 4.>=20 teeth present 5.Systemically healthy patients

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Pregnant or lactating women 2.Smokers 3.Undergone periodontal therapy in last 6 months 4.Received antimicrobial therapy(local and/or systemic) in last 6 months 5.Patients who were taking or had consumed anti-inflammatory agent in last 3 months. 6.Patients with any systemic disorder affecting periodontal health. 7. Regular users of mouthwash
