Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Adults 18 years of age and older undergoing awake flexible bronchoscopy Hemodynamically stable Patients in whom bronchial washing airway inspection or bronchoalveolar lavage is planned
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: a) Pregnancy b) Not giving informed consent for the procedure c) Hypoxemia (oxygen saturation [by pulse oximetry] = 0.3 d) Patients with documented history of hypersensitivity to lidocaine e) Bronchoscopy performed through endotracheal or tracheostomy tube f) Patients in whom transbronchial needle aspiration or biopsies are planned
