Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The expression of individual virulence genes with the focus of invasive infection will give a broader idea of the pathogenesis of E.coli infection leading to bacteremia. The true association of virulence genes with invasive infection can be better determined. The accurate MIC for combination therapy in case of carbapenem resistant E. coli tested in vitro will give a further knowledge to use the best available combination in treatment regimens in case of carbapenem resistant E. coli infection. It might also help in reducing the dosage in toxicity related to unwanted antimicrobial use.Timepoint: With in 2yrs

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The common phylogroup in specific disease type will be observed and its distribution among various infections will be analyzed. The true association of virulence genes with invasive infection can be better determined. This will further help to assess the necessity to extent the antimicrobial spectrum in treating MDR pathogens.Timepoint: With in 2years
