Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Willing to sign written informed consent Undergoing elective surgical proceduresin supine position not lasting more than 2 hrs under general anaesthesia ASA 1 and 2 No known history of allergy and hypersensitivity to study drug

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients or his/her legally accepted relatives not willing to provide written informed consent Patients with history of prior sore throat and patients with upper/lower respiratory tract infection patients with allergy or sensitivity to study drug Mallampatti Grade > 2 ASA 3 or more With poor cardiovascular and respiratory reserve Using steroids or NSAIDS Pregnant women Patients with > 2 attempts of intubation Patients planned to be ventilated post operatively Patients posted for any oral surgery
