Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: a. Newly diagnosed cases of essential hypertension -History, examination and routine investigations which show no evidence of secondary causes b. Age group -patients within 25 -65 years of age c. Gender - Both genders included.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: a. Diagnosis uncertain or findings from the history, physical examination or routine investigations arouse suspicion of a secondary cause for the hypertension. b. Isolated systolic hypertension(diastolic bp is less than 80 mm Hg and systolic bp is 130 mm Hg or higher) c. Cases with serious illnesses or conditions affecting function of different organs or systems -e.g. hepatic disorders, impaired renal function, pregnancy etc. d. Patients who are on antihypertension drugs will be excluded.
