Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients with ASA status I, II, III posted for emergency surgery requiring general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation using rapid sequence induction .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Anticipated difficult airway 2. Pregnancy 3. Hypertensives who are on treatment with beta blockers
