Intervention1: VITAMIN C AND VITAMIN E CAPSULES: Patients will be given Tab VITAMIN C 500mg BD AND VITAMIN E 400IU OD for a period of 2 weeks which is expected to accelerate wound healing in diabetic

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ALL PATIENTS MORE THAN 18 YEARS OF AGE WITH DIABETIC FOOT ULCERS

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: INCLUDES ALL THE PATIENTS WITH a)Venous disease b)Coagulopathy c)Osteomyelitis d)Charcotâ??s joint e)Ulcers of Wagner Grade IV and V f)Peripheral Vascular Disease g)Coexisting CKD, malignancy, and any hematological disorder.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To study the effect of vitamin C and vitamin E supplementation on the rate of ulcer healing in diabetic foot ulcer patients.Timepoint: baseline at the time of start of the study , followed by after 2 weeks of intervention for primary outcome of wound healing and blood parameters.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
(a)To determine the effect of vitamin C and vitamin E supplementation on long term glycemic control. (b)To determine the effect of vitamin C and vitamin E supplementation on metabolic parameters. Timepoint: hba1c AND blood parameters will also be assessed at the start of the study followed by repeat of the blood parameters at the end of 2 weeks of intervention and hba1c at the end of 4 weeks
