Inclusion criteria: Patients with liver cirrhosis and ascites

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1] Age 2.5 gram/dl 3] mixed ascites 4] secondary bacterial peritonitis 5] malignancy 6] Associated severe cardio respiratory disease 7] Pregnancy or lactation 8] HRS 9] Chronic kidney disease 10] Previous episodes of SBP 11] Refusal to give consent for participation in the study
