Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult participants above 18 years age with BMI� 25 and �30kg/m2 will be selected.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1)Pregnancy 2)Abnormal neck anatomy (burn contracture, previous surgery, radiation therapy) 3)Restricted neck movements. 4)Goitre and other similar neck swellings.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To assess depth of cricothyroid membrane in obese versus non-obese patients. Timepoint: Time points not applicable. Ultrasonography will be done in neutral and extended neck positions in obese and non obese volunteers.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Correlation of neck circumference with depth of cricothyroid membraneTimepoint: Not applicable. Neck circumference will be measured before ultrasonography. Later USG guided cricothyroid membrane depth will be measured. Co relation between both will be studied.
