Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All Inguinal hernia surgery performed in India in adult population (18 years or older) 2. All Unilateral and Bilateral hernia repairs including recurrent hernias 3. All Elective as well as emergency inguinal hernia surgeries 4. Concurrent Obturator and Femoral hernia with inguinal hernia 5. Patients undergoing concomitant surgeries with Inguinal Hernia 6. Foreigners undergoing surgery in India

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Inguinal hernia surgery performed in children/adolescents ( 2. Only Femoral and obturator hernia surgery 3. Inguinal hernia Surgery performed outside India 4. Patients not consenting for the study.

To assess 30-day morbidity in terms of Calvein Dindo Classification and mortality after Inguinal hernia surgery in India.Timepoint: 30 day

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
i) 90-day morbidity in terms of Calvein Dindo Classification and mortality after Inguinal hernia surgery in India. Timepoint: 90 days;ii) To find out factors associated with 30-day and 90-day morbidity and mortality.Timepoint: 30 day and 90 day;iii) To find the incidence of chronic groin pain and recurrence of the hernia at 12 months, 36 months, and at 60 months follow up; and also find out factors associated with it.Timepoint: 12 months, 36 months, and at 60 months
