Intervention1: oral medicine 1 Ashwagndha churna 2 Atibalamoor kwath external 1 local abhyang 2 local swedan : Oral medicaments will be started from the first day of the treatment along with abhyang

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: •Patients presenting with the classical signs and symptoms of JanuSandhigatavata (OA), viz. Shula, Shotha, Stambha, Sparsha-asahyata, Sphutana, AkunchanaPrasaranevedana etc., will be taken for the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: •Patients suffering from Amvata,Vatarakt. •Patients suffering from uncontrolled diabetes, Psoriatic arthritis, Gouty arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), Bone TB and other major systemic disorders will be excluded. •Patients of osteoarthritis already operated for joint replacement. •Pregnant and lactating women will be excluded.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome will be changes in pain and WOMAC scale. Pain will be assessed subjectively (as mentioned in signs and symptoms scoring pattern) as well as by 10 mm VAS of pain. Secondary outcomes will be changes in other signs and symptoms, WOMAC subscales and X-ray findings (Kellgren –lawrence system).Timepoint: Patients will be assessed with signs and symptoms on every week.
