Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1.Adults > 18 years of age 2.Patients of sepsis and septic shock as per sepsis 3 definition 3.Admitted to ICU with Nasogastric, Orogastric or Nasojejunal tube for enteral feeding. 4.Patient informed and consented to be included in the study. 5.Patient will be enrolled in the study within 6 hours of start of enteral feeding.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1.Patient on parenteral nutrition 2.Active bowel obstruction as diagnosed clinically 3.Mesenteric ischemia 4.GI infection precluding Enteral Nutrition 5.Any other contraindications to Enteral nutrition
