Intervention1: To fill endotracheal cuff with 2% lignocaine solution: Intubation will be done by a Senior resident in MD anesthesiology and critical care with more 25 successful intubation in pediatri

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1)Age 1month-12 years 2)ASA physical status I and II 3)Elective surgeries under general anesthesia with endotracheal tube

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) h/o upper respiratory tract infections 2) h/o bronchial asthma 3) previous laryngeal or tracheal surgery 4) local anesthestic allergy 5) h/o congenital heart disease 6) patients with anticipated difficult airway 7) patients expected to require postoperative ventilation
