Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Patients who meet the criteria of alcohol dependence according to ICD 10, Classification of Mental and Behavioural Disorders, DCR; WHO, 1992. 2.Pseudo-forgiveness score 3.Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment of Alcohol Scale, Revised (CIWA-Ar) score of 4.Education of at least 5th grade

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Patients with history of chronic and other significant medical/ neurological illness. 2.Patients with complicated withdrawal 3.Patients with any other substance use other than nicotine and caffeine 4.Patients with co-morbidity other than mild to moderate depression 5.Patients who are not willing to participate in the study
