Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients of age group 18-70 years visiting the NIA, hospital OPD and willing to provide written, informed consent with desire to stop the alcohol abuse will be selected for the study clinically diagnosed on the basis of AUDIT scale ( > 15) provided by DSM V based on its new guidelines with relevant parameters. ï?¢ Patients will be selected randomly, irrespective of gender, economical, educational and marital status.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with severe clinical manifestation of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome. ï?¢ Highly violent patients, not following the proper instructions given to them or suffering from major psychiatric illness. ï?¢ Patients suffering from any kind of major systemic illness such as Malignancy, Diabetes, Cardiac disorder, HIV, pulmonary TB etc. ï?¢ Patients suffering from liver failure, hepatic necrosis, hepatitis B and C, cerebral degeneration. ï?¢ Pregnant ladies and lactating mothers.
