Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ââ?¬Â¢Patients pathologically diagnosed with advanced head & neck cancer by a primary oncologist; ââ?¬Â¢Patientââ?¬•s with estimated survival time longer than 3 months at the time of recruitment into the present study; ââ?¬Â¢Patients referred to Pain and Palliative unit and under the supervision of palliative care physician; ââ?¬Â¢Caregivers who are relatives of the patient and involved willingly in care of the patient; ââ?¬Â¢Patients and caregivers dyads who are18 years or older, and are aware of the diagnosis and estimated survival time of patient; ââ?¬Â¢Patients and caregivers dyads who are able to understand and answer the questionnaires on their own or with the explanation of investigators; ââ?¬Â¢Patients and caregivers dyads who have smartphones that will support video format.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: �Patients or caregivers with mental illness or disturbances in conscious mental processes; �Patients who are unable to communicate due to extremely poor health condition

Change in the health-related quality of life of the patients, assessed using the questionnaire adapted from EORTC-QLQ 30 ODIA VERSION 3.0.Timepoint: baseline & at 3rd week of follow up between standard care versus video based basic skills training.—

ââ?¬Â¢ To determine the patientsââ?¬â?¢ difficulties including symptoms of the progressive disease, psychological distress and psychosocial support at baseline ââ?¬Â¢To assess & compare patientââ?¬â?¢s Health related quality of life based on their responses to 12 domains of HRQoL: pain, appearance, activity, recreation, swallowing, chewing, speech, shoulder, taste, saliva, moodTimepoint: baseline & at 3rd week of follow up between standard care versus video based basic skills training.—
