Inclusion criteria: patients above 18 years of age any surgeries below umbilicus under subarachnoid block

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: patient refusal patients whose weight or height cannot be assessed inability to cooperate and remain still pregnant patients contraindications for subarachnoid block inability to position the patient appropriately for the subarachnoid block
