Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria 1. Treatment naïve patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the oral tongue 2. T1-T4 staged disease 3. Patients who will undergo definitive surgical management 4. Age greater than or equal to 18 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria 1. Patients having any history of mental illness (depression, anxiety, etc) and currently taking medication for the same 2. Patients taking any form of week or strong opioid analgesics as per the WHO pain scale ladder, for a period greater than 1 week 3. Patients having a history of other diseases and conditions where taste sensation is disturbed such as Sjogrenâ??s syndrome, radiotherapy, etc. 4. Patients who have had COVID-19 previously 5. Patients who do not know how to read English, Hindi or Marathi 6. Patients with trismus and with ankyloglossia
