Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion Criteriafor cases: Live born babies with perinatal asphyxia those who have:1)Period of gestation more than 34 weeks.2)A-APGAR score <7 at 1min.orB-Newborns who required resuscitation for more than one minute.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteriafor cases:1)Babies less than34 weeks of gestation.2)Babies having respiratory distress due to suspected septicemia.3)Babies with suspected intracranial bleed/major congenital malformation/dysmorphism.4)Babies of diabetic/hypertensivemothers.5)Babies of mothers having toxemia of pregnancy.6)Babies of mothers receiving magnesium sulphate/phenobarbitone/general anaesthesia
