Inclusion criteria: undergoing elective cardiac surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pre-existing hepatic, pulmonary, neurologic or renal dysfunction Pre-existing endocrine disorders Pre-existing hemostatic disorders History of allergy to any of the medications being used in the study
