Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. All Outpatient and Inpatient consultations during the study period from the Department of Psychiatry as well as referrals from other departments with a diagnosis of Somatic Symptom disorder, as per DSM-5 criteria, as diagnosed by a consultant 2. Patients giving details of medical illness not contributing to somatic symptoms as per the clinical judgement of the consultant 3. Patients who can give written informed consent to undergo the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with any uncontrolled physical co-morbidities 2. Uncooperative psychiatric patients or patients with neurological impairments which may interfere with assessments
