Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients requiring intubation in ICU 2. Sex M/F 3. Age: 18years or older 4. Weight: 40-100 kg

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Intubation without RSI(in case of cardiac arrest) 2. Asphyxia requiring immediate intubation 3. Any nasopharyngeal anatomical obstacle 4. Grade 4 glottis exposure on the Cormackâ??Lehane scale documented in the medical history 5. pregnancy 6. Lack of consent 7. patients who had already undergone intubation in the ICU (i.e., extubation failure) or who were already participating in an interventional study on pre-oxygenation
