Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patient aged 16 - 65 years who are medically fit to undergo surgery for mandibular fractures patients who give their consent to participate in the study Patient reporting to casaulty of sree balaji medical college and hospital with fractures in mandibular symphisis patients reporting to casaulty of sree balaji medical college and hospital with fractures in mandibular para-symphisis patients reporting to casaulty of sree balaji medical college and hospital with fractures in body of mandible patients reporting to casualty of sree balaji medical college and hosptial with fractures in angle of mandible patients reporting to casualty of sree balaji medical college and hospital with fractures in mandibular condyle and subcondyle.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with pan facial fractures presence of osseous pathology patients unfit for undergoing treatment under general anaesthesia patients with severe systemic disorders patients undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome will be a) Decrease in the operating time b) Decrease in the fatigue effect due to cold working which is due to bending the plate during adaptation c) Increase in the efficacy of the plate as its prefabricated and fixed by using surgical guides d) This will in-turn minimize the usage of intermaxillary fixation and erichs arch bar fixation which commonly used e) Decrease in the loss of fluids and bloodTimepoint: The follow-up will be done at 1 week, 3 weeks, 1 month, 3 months and 9 months.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome will be a)The study will result in higher patient satisfaction and superior quality of life. b)This will fasten the healing process as the approximations are better because of virtual planning of surgeryTimepoint: To observe the outcomes at 3 months , 6 months and 9 months
