Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Known Type 2 diabetes mellitus patients of age group 35-65 years with urine albumin in the range of 30-299 mg in 24-hour urine sample

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients undergoing treatment with ACE-inhibitors and ARBs. 2. Patients with uncontrolled hypertension 3. Serum creatinine more than 2.5 mg/dl 4. Patients with chronic and severe complications of Diabetes mellitus 5. Patients with history of coronary artery disease and persistent urinary tract infections 6. Patients with other systemic illness 7. Pregnancy and lactation
