Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Sexually active or married women between 30-65years of age residing in Raiwala district in Uttarakhand are asked to give cervico-vaginal sample by themselves and the sample will be further proceed fo micro PCR and report are given to them there and then. Positive for any HPV 16 or 18 subtypes will be further follow up in dept. of obstetrics and gynaecology at AIIMS, Rishikesh.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Following women are excluded from the study: -Pregnant women -Women who have undergone conization or hysterectomy -Not willing to participant in study -Not willing to follow up if screen positive

To determine prevalence of high risk HPV infection HPV 16 and 18 using real time micro PCR technique in women in Uttarakhand To study the acceptability of self sampling in women in Uttarakhand in the community setting Timepoint: 12months

MeasureTime frame
To confirm positive results obtained by real time micro PCR by standard PCR technique Colposcopy findings in women who are screen positive Timepoint: 18months
