Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical status grades I, II, III who are undergoing elective infraumbelical surgeries under spinal anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant and lactating women, morbidly obese, patients in whoom spinal anesthesia is contraindicated, allergic to study drugs, patients refusal to participate

prolongation of duration of analgesiaTimepoint: post operative pain, sedation, patient satisfaction using visual analogue scale at 30min, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th hourly

sensory block assesment to loss of sensation to cold at L1 after spinal anesthesiaTimepoint: onset of sensory block, time taken to reach the maximum height of the block, time taken for two segment regression from maximum height of block.
