Health Condition 1: K053- Chronic periodontitis

Interventions

Intervention1: Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG: 1gm per sachet, one sachet per day, orally for one month,30 sachets for one month.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: a) Age between 30-65years. b) Patients with stage 2 and stage 3 periodontitis according to AAP 2017 classification will be included.11 c)30% or more of sites with probing pocket depth (PPD>= 4mm and CAL>=4mm d)A minimum of five teeth with atleast one site with CAL and PPD>=4mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Antimicrobial therapy in the previous three months. Presence of systemic conditions. History of smoking. Need of prophylactic antibiotic therapy for routine dental procedures. Long term administration of anti inflammatory medications Usage of probiotics in the past six months before the study.
