Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Type 2 Diabetes mellitus patients to be initiated with basal-bolus insulin regimen or premixed insulin regimen as antidiabetic therapy, uncontrolled on diet and lifestyle modifications and oral antidiabetics. Willing to provide written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Receiving medications that interfere with blood sugar level, ie steroids. 2. Pregnant or lactating mothers 3. Chronic liver / renal impairment 4. Acutely ill patients 5. Physically unfit / unable to follow up 6. Unstable hemodynamics - admitted in ICU
