Health Condition 1: K050- Acute gingivitis

Interventions

Intervention1: Shunthi Parapat Kwatha Gandusha (Decoction of Shunthi Parapat churna): Shunthi parpat kwatha gandusha will be done in 100 ml kwatha matra once in a day for 7days. Follow up on day 15.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients having signs and symptoms of Sheetada w. s. r to Gingivitis. â?ª Patient with mild and moderate stages of Gingivitis. â?ª Irrespective of gender, caste, race Socioeconomic status â?ª Patient willing for treatment (Consent)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having diseases other than Sheetada w s r to Gingivitis. â?ª Gingivitis in the patients with known history of systemic disorders like TB, Lymphoma which can lead to interference with study. â?ª Pregnancy induced gingivitis. â?ª Medications induced Gingivitis E.g. Nifedepine / calcium channel blocker/Phenytoin. â?ª Patients below 20 years or more than 60 years.

PRIMARY OUTCOMES WILLL BE ASSESSED SUBJECTIVELY AFTER THE INTERVENTION AS PERCENTAGE IMPROVEMENT IN SIGNS & SYMPTOMS BEFORE AND AFTER AS 1 No improvement 25% 2 Mild improvement 25 â?? 50% 3 Moderate improvement 50 â?? 75% 4 Excellent improvement 75 â?? 100%. Following Signs & Symptoms will be assessed on day 1st , day 5th and day 15th. 1 Mrudu mansata ( Spongy gums) 2 Raktastrava (Bleeding gums ) 3 Mukhadurgandhi (Halitosis) 4 Krushnavarnata (Dark red colour of gums) Timepoint: on DAY 1, 5 & 15

SECONDARY OUTCOMES WILL BE ASSESSED WITH OBJECTIVE PARAMETERS FOR IMPROVEMENT IMPROVEMENT IN GI(GINGIVAL INDEX ), PI ( PLAQUE INDEX ), S B I (SULCUS BLEEDING INDEX), BOP ( BLEEDING ON PROBING ) IN BOTH THE GROUPS WILL BE ASSESSED. Timepoint: DAY 15
