Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patient in mixed dentition period. Patient with incompetent lips, snoring or sleeping with open mouth. ENT consultation will be taken to rule out any obstructive or anatomical cause of mouth breathing.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Uncooperative patient. Patient undergoing orthodontic treatment. Patient with any generalized or systemic diseases. Patient with nasal obstruction in form of deviated nasal septum, enlarged turbinates, adenoids .

MeasureTime frame
To assess the changes of buccinator, orbicularis oris, mentalis, sternocleidomastoid and trapezius muscles before and after appliance therapy in mouth breathers,thus determining the effectivenessof the interceptive therapy.Timepoint: 3 months and 6 months
