Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the levels of serum ferritin in late preterm and term newborns after intact umbilical cord milking versus delayed cord clamping at 3rd month of lifeTimepoint: One year

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1)Impact of intact umbilical cord milking versus delayed cord clamping on Hemoglobin,Hematocrit at 3-5days of life and at 3rd month of life. 2)APGAR score at one and five minutes 3)Total serum bilirubin, direct serum bilirubin at 3-5 days of life and development of jaundice requiring phototherapy or exchange transfusion in both groups, development of polycythemia and hemodynamic parameters like capillary refilling time, Respiratory rate, Heart rate and Oxygen saturation at 3-5 days of life.Timepoint: One year
