Inclusion criteria: 1) NEWBORNS DELIVERED AFTER INTACT UMBILICAL CORD MILKING OR DELIVERED CORD CLAMPING 2)GESTATIONAL AGE OF 34 0/7 WEEKS TO 41 6/7 WEEKS 3)DOES NOT REQUIRE ACTIVE RESUSCITATION AT BIRTH 4) MATERNAL HB >9.9MG/DL 5) PARENTAL WRITTEN INFORMED CONSENT GIVEN

Exclusion criteria: 1) MULTIPLE GESTATION 2) CORD ABNORMALITIES ( CORD PROLAPSE, TRUE KNOTS) 3) RH SENSITIZED MOTHERS 4) ANTENATAL SCAN SHOWING ANY MAJOR CONGENITAL ANOMALIES OF FETUS 5) ABNORMAL PLACENTATION 6) MOTHERS WITH SMOKING HABITS 7) BLEEDING DISORDERS IN MOTHERS
