Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children fulfilling the definition of systemic inflammatory response syndrome as per international consensus definition for pediatric sepsis getting hospitalized as per the unit policy during the study period

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: children receiving thiamine supplementation prior to hospitalization children with chronic malabsorption disorders surgical disorders children on hemodialysis
