Inclusion criteria: age - 18 to 60 yrs elective surgery under general anesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.patient refusal 2.allergy to dexmedetomidine 3.significant respiratory and cardiac disease 4.predicted difficult airway patient with nasal polyps,ulcers
