Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA-PS I-III patients,scheduled to undergo elective surgery under general endotracheal anesthesia and nasogastric intubation.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pre-existing steroid or NSAID use, preoperative sorethroat or upper airway infection, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pregnant and lactating women, known or suspected difficult airway, known allergies to study drug, smoker,not willing to give consent
