Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age above 60 years Undergoing craniotomy under general anaesthesia Requiring intraoperative osmotherapy Asa 1 and 2
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Consent refusal Contraindications to insert transoesophageal echocardiography probe : osephageal surgery, strictures Patients with coronary artery disease/valvular heart disease Patients with end organ dysfunction Patients with hypo/hypernatremia and treated with mannitol or hypertonic saline in the previous 24hrs
