Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Age more than 18 years 2.Women with preeclampsia undergoing either elective or emergency caesarean section under spinal anaesthesia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Preeclamptic women on restrictive fluid strategies such as those with pulmonary edema or cardiac failure (NYHA III and IV) 2.Pre-existing kidney disease 3.AKI as per KDIGO guidelines 4.HELLP syndrome

To study the difference in urinary NGAL and KIM-1 levels at three different time intervals (baseline from initiation of intravenous fluids, 6hrs, 12 hours postoperatively) during peri-operative administration of normal saline vs ringer lactate among pre-eclamptic women undergoing cesarean section.Timepoint: Baseline before initiation of intravenous fluids, 6hrs, 12 hours after caesarean section

1.To determine the correlation between urinary NGAL and KIM-1 with type and amount of fluids, severity of pre-eclampsia, admission systolic and diastolic BP. 2.To assess any difference in pH, bicarbonate and chloride levels at 12 hours and serum Creatinine at 48 hours postoperatively between two groups. Timepoint: To assess any difference in pH, bicarbonate and chloride levels at 12 hours by Arterial blood gas analysis and se. Creatinine at 48 hours postoperatively between two groups.
