Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To study the difference in urinary NGAL and KIM-1 levels at three different time intervals (baseline from initiation of intravenous fluids, 6hrs, 12 hours postoperatively) during peri-operative administration of normal saline vs ringer lactate among pre-eclamptic women undergoing cesarean section.Timepoint: Baseline before initiation of intravenous fluids, 6hrs, 12 hours after caesarean section | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| 1.To determine the correlation between urinary NGAL and KIM-1 with type and amount of fluids, severity of pre-eclampsia, admission systolic and diastolic BP. 2.To assess any difference in pH, bicarbonate and chloride levels at 12 hours and serum Creatinine at 48 hours postoperatively between two groups. Timepoint: To assess any difference in pH, bicarbonate and chloride levels at 12 hours by Arterial blood gas analysis and se. Creatinine at 48 hours postoperatively between two groups. | — |
