Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: �Patients diagnosed with Migraine headache and on prophylaxis �4 to 15 migraine attacks per month in the past 2 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: �Patients with Headache other than migraine �Patients with chronic daily headache (�15 days/month) �Patients already on statins for any other conditions �Patients on any lipid lowering substances �Patients with renal disease (GFR >than 30ml/min) �Creatinine kinase > 3 times the upper limit of normal �Patients with AST/ALT >2 times the upper limit of the normal �Pregnant, nursing and potentially could become pregnant patients �Patients with history of any drug/substance abuse or dependence �Patients with uncontrolled DM, Thyroid disease and psychiatric illnesses �Known hypersensitivity to statins
