Interventions

Intervention1: Ultrasound guided platelet rich plasma injection: One dose of 2ml of platelet rich plasma will be injected into the medial collateral ligament of the affected knee Control Intervention1

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. MCL injury grade 1 and 2 confirmed by MRI 2. Age group 18-35 years 3. Duration of injury within 2 weeks

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any associated ligament and meniscal injury other than MCL confirmed by MRI 2. Internal derangement of knee 3. Any previous knee surgery 4. Knee instability due to hypermobility syndrome 5. Local infection around the knee 6. Uncontrolled systemic diseases 7. Local corticosteroid injection within 6 weeks 8. Thrombocytopenia 9. Anti-coagulation therapy 10. Haemodynamic instability 11. Hypofibrinogenaemia
