TO QUANTIFY AND COMPARE THE LEVELS OF miRNA 155 IN HEALTHY AND DISEASED GINGIVAL TISSUES AND ITS EFFECT ON BONE RESORBING CELLS.

COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF microRNA-155 EXPRESSION AND ITS EFFECT ON OSTEOCLAST DIFFERENTIATION, MEDIATED BY MICROPTHALMIA INDUCED TRANSCRIPTION FACTOR (MITF) IN HEALTHY AND PERIODONTITIS AFFECTED GINGIVAL TISSUES.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
1)quantify and compare the expression of miRNA 155 in periodontal disease and healthy gingival tissues 2)To quantify and compare the expression of Micropthalmia Induced Transcription Factor (MITF) in periodontal disease and healthy gingival tissues Timepoint: at baseline

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. To compare and correlate the miR-155 levels and Micropthalmia Induced Transcription Factor levels in periodontal disease and healthy gingival tissues 2. To compare and correlate the miR-155 levels and Micropthalmia Induced Transcription Factor levels in periodontal disease and healthy gingival tissues with the clinical parameters Timepoint: at baseline
