Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: All children between 1 month to less than 1 year with respiratory distress as defined in the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Manual as presence of some or all of the following Tachypnea Increased respiratory effort Inadequate respiratory effort Abnormal airway sounds Tachycardia Pale cool skin Changes in the level of consciousness

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with clinically recognizable congenital anomalies
