Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Littleâ??s irregularity index from 2- 6mm. Patients with no history of orthodontic treatment. Adequate oral hygiene with a Full Mouth Plaque Index score( Confirmation that all permanent teeth were fully erupted from 2nd molar to 2nd molar. No abnormal chewing habits. Patients with no habits of smoking, pan or tobacco chewing and alcohol consumption.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with known allergy to nickel or any other metal. Patients with periodontal disease Patients with systemic conditions. Patients with proximal caries or restorations. Patients with history of long term medication. Patients with prosthetic rehabilitation in the form of crowns, bridges or implants. Use of antimicrobial solutions or antibiotics.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
There will be a significant difference in the levels of ionic release between Copper-Nickel-Titanium and Titanium-Niobium-Tantalum-Zirconium archwires in the saliva after employing for initial alignment.Timepoint: 4 WEEKS

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
There will be a significant difference in the microbial biofilm accumulation of acid producing microorganisms such as Streptococcus mutans, Lactobacillus species adhering to the Copper-Nickel-Titanium and Titanium- Niobium- Tantalum-Zirconium archwires.Timepoint: 6-8 months
