Interventions

Intervention1: exercisetherapy: stationary bicycle warm up for 5 minutes at comfortable speed and resistance , stretching of lower extremity muscles three times with 20 sec to 30 sec hold, short arc k
straight leg raises into hip flexion and abduction
long arc knee extension in sitting position with 4 sets of progressive resistance exercise, step ups ( 3 sets with 10 repetitions), heel raises( 3 sets with 10 repetitions) and ball squats with maximu

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients with bilateral and unilateral knee osteoarthritis • Patients diagnosed by weight bearing knee radiographs [ Kellgren â?? Lawrence scoring 1-4 • Patients from 35 to 65 years of age • Patient presenting with mild to moderate knee pain

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Patient with any systemic arthritis • Knee surgery or intra articular steroid injection in previous 6 months • Any other condition that could affect the function at knee joint • Any foot deformity that could affect the use of insoles • Patient with fixed flexion deformity
