Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with multi-level [2 or more] lumbar spinal disc disease or stenosis warranting surgical decompression, after having failed adequate non-operative treatment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with overt instability on plain radiographs in the form of lateral or antero-posterior listhesis were excluded. 2. Patients with lumbar scoliosis >10 degrees; degenerative or otherwise 3. Patients with low backache more than leg pain 4. Patients with previous surgery, infection, neoplasm and other non-degenerative etiology 5. Patients with incomplete data [particularly in relation to retrospective enrolment of patients].
