Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Systemically healthy South Indian subjects with Tamil ethnicity. 2.Periodontal healthy subjects. 3.Generalized periodontitis subjects (According to 2017 World Workshop on Classification of periodontal diseases and conditions).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.History of periodontal treatment within the previous six months. 2.Antimicrobial therapy, immunosuppressantâ??s, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs within the previous three months. 3.Smokers and alcoholics. 4.Pregnancy and lactation. 5.Presence of neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy and macro vascular complications.
