Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA physical status II 2.Parturients with cervical dilation 3.Nulliparous labouring parturients with singleton pregnancy and vertex presentation who will request labour analgesia. 4. Non stress test of foetus should be normal.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Any contraindication to neuraxial block like Patient reusal or uncooperative patient Coagulopathy History of allergy to study drugs Skin infection in lumbar region. 2. Patients who had received parenteral opiods 3. Parturients with obsterics complications such as multiple pregnancies, prologed labour, PIH,Gestational diabetes, Oligohydromnios, Polyhydromnios, Bad obstetrics history, foetus.

MeasureTime frame
Total dose requirement of levobupivacaine and ropivacaine with fentanyl as an adjuvantTimepoint: Hemodynamic parameters every 5 minute till 30 minute and every 15 minutes till delivery of fetus

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
1. Total number of PCEA demand bolus 2.Total number of manual rescue boluses 3.Extent of sensory block 4.Mode of delivery 5. Maternal satisfaction score 6.Fetal outcome ( APGAR SCORE in 1 and 5 minutes, birth weight) 7. Side effects( Hypotension,, nausea, vomiting, pruritis, motor blockade)Timepoint: Fetal heart rate every 10 minutes till delivery of fetus and APGAR score at 1 minute and 5 minute and side effects like hypotension, nausea, vomiting, pruritus, motor blockade every 30 minutes.
