Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed cases of perforation peritonitis undergoing exploratory laparotomy.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Duration of peritonitis more than 96hrs. 2) Patients with perforation peritonitis undergoing drain placement under local anesthesia.

Leak of repair (leak will be diagnosed by the presence of bile or enteric contents in drain or midline incision site)Timepoint: outcome is monitored for a period of 30 days
