Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients need surgery under general anaesthesia 1.Duration of surgery >= 1 hour 2.Age â?? All patients >= 20 year 3.Either sex 4.Who are willing to participate for this study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1.Emergency surgery 2. Patients ASA grade V 3. Allergy to study drugs 4. Patient refusal 5. Surgeries for less than 1 hours duration 6. Patients received more than one potent inhalational anaesthetics 7. Patients received continuous infusion of propofol, etomidate, dexmedomidine, ketamine or lignocaine 8. Patients received boluses of ketamine or midazolam 9.Patients developed hypothermia

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Delivered MAC of different inhalational anaesthetic agent will be compared with age adjusted MAC and thus to determine decrease in MAC of elderly Indian population is similar to western population or not.Timepoint: 2 hour

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess that determination of MAC value of inhalational agents in elderly patients will help to prevent overdoages or toxicity of drugTimepoint: 24 hours
