Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Subject irrespective of age and sex diagnosed as CHD by Coronary Angiograpgy (CAG) will be considered as Cases. Subjects underwent CAG with no evidence of CHD matched with age, gender and socio-economical status will be taken as controls

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients having Rheumatoid arthritis, familial hypercholesterolemia, asthma, acute infections, co-morbid diseases and malignancy will be excluded from the study. Patient not willing to give informed consent.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Screening test for CRP if found to be elevated in cases in comparison to controls, it will serve as economical biomarker for coronary heart disease.Timepoint: Outcome of the study will be assessed when half of the samples are collected according to age, sex, habits, lifestyle and level of rise in Sr. CRP values which is expected to be at 6 weeks after starting the study.

Screening test for CRP if found to be elevated in cases in comparison to controls, it will serve as economical biomarker for coronary heart disease.Timepoint: Outcome of the study will be assessed monthly according to age, sex, habits, lifestyle and level of rise in Sr. CRP values and interventions taken to treat cases.
