Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age at presentation more than 18 years Active atopic dermatitis, diagnosis of which shall be made on 2 grounds: 1. Fulfillment of Hanifin and Rajka’s original criteria, and 2. Expert opinion where 3 independent eczema experts shall decide whether or not a patient has atopic dermatitis and the cases where all the experts decide unanimously on the diagnosis shall be recruited in the present study. Willing to undergo filaggrin mutation status assessment, serum IgE levels (total and specific) and patch testing with atopic patch tests and standard patch testing with Indian standard series.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pregnancy and lactation Any immunocompromised state Isolated hand eczema in absence of any other lesions of atopic dermatitis on body.
